With English teams filling all four slots in the finals of Europe's two big football tournaments, the UK's TV providers are falling over themselves to try and ensure as many people as possible tune into the action via their services. On Wednesday, BT announced that BT Sport subscribers would be able to watch the Champions League final in HDRmarking the broadcaster's first foray into high dynamic range and the first time live coverage has ever been shown in HDR on a mobile device. But today, Virgin has announced that its own TV customers will be able to watch both the Champions League and Europa League finals without the need for an additional BT Sport subscription.

Virgin Media are exciting TV customers all over the nation today, as the provider just announced that it will be giving all their existing customers a completely free upgrade to its V6 box. Starting from today, current Virgin Media customers can swap their normal box for the premium V6 model instead. Current customers will be contacted in the next few weeks with details of how they can get the new box.
It's also available to existing and new customers now. It is a refresh of its existing TiVo box offering and sits at the top of the family tree. The latter is especially important as its something its rival, Sky Qdoesn't currently offer.
